Port Credit is located on the south edge of Mississauga, where the Credit Valley River feeds into Lake Ontario. It is also known as the "Village on the Water". The shoreline holds a lovely lighthouse and has the largest marina of it's surrounding area. Because the waterways here consist of a river and a lake, there is a extensive variety of boats used in this area - from canoes to sail boats to motorized boats. On the harbour, boats dock on the boardwalk which encompasses the shoreline. Looking out on the water on a hot summer evening you can see the lake glistening and can catch an awesome sunset.
As side from the water, Port Credit is known for its many unique shops, cafes and restaurants. Here you can walk on the small strip in this picturesque town and enjoy very good grub and drinks on the many outdoor patios. One of my favourite outdoor patio is at El Jefe. Their patio is very bright and colourful, and has cool lighting at night. Here you can enjoy delicious Mexican food and a margarita if you are up to it!
